RMF Quality System

Atomic Absorption

The RMF Management System communicates the policies and processes involved in providing plating and related services to our customers while minimizing the impacts of our activities on the environment. Thus, at RMF, this one manual meets the requirements of both the ISO/TS 16949 and ISO14001 standards.

As the Management System serves the needs of both the ISO/TS and ISO 14001 standards, we thus have a Management System Policy (link at left) that covers both the quality and environmental standards.

four tiers of documentation

RMF recently became one of the first companies in the United States to be audited to the new ISO/TS 16949:2009 quality standard.

Salt Spray and Cyclic Chamber for DIN 50021 and ASTM B633 Testing

Our quality system consists of four tiers of documentation: forms, work instructions, procedures, and our quality manual (link at right). Our procedures and work instructions are in flowchart format which means that a customer's parts will be handled correctly from receiving through production to shipping. We have control plans, FMEAs and process flow diagrams for each of our processes. We routinely implement part-specific APQP upon customer request.

X-Ray Florescence Testing For Alloys

The Quality Department utilizes thickness testing devices throughout the plant. We currently have one (2) x-ray fluorescent units and three (3) Eddy current devices and numerous handheld Fischer thickness testing MMI devices. The x-ray is used to analyze surface finish and appearance. Salt spray chamber for salt fog and cyclic testing. Thickness certifications are sent with parts orders or are automatically sent via email to customers.
