Clifford D. Roy, CEO of Roy Metal Finishing, holds a metallurgical engineering degree from the University of Kentucky. He has been CEO of Roy Metal Finishing since Sept. 15, 2006 and has been active over the years on the local and national levels of the American Electroplating and Surface Finishing Association (AESF) and the National Association of Metal Finishers (NAMF). He has observed plating processes throughout the United States and Europe and to this day considers electroplating his hobby.
The South Carolina Chamber of Commerce and the Silver Crescent Foundation recognized RMF, as a nominated candidate, for the Manufacturer of the Year Award at the 2010 Salute to Manufacturing awards luncheon. The Silver Crescent Manufacturer of the Year honor is awarded to one manufacturer in each of three categories (small, medium and large) that exhibit strong economic impact, a commitment to workforce, and involvement and contributions to their communities. The Silver Crescent Foundation's goal is to make South Carolina citizens aware of the importance and the size of their manufacturing base. The Salute to Manufacturing is their keystone event to recognize the very best manufacturers and to point to them as examples and role models for the rest.
